Psa 85:10  Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Dan said this was our verse.
I was mercy, he was truth.
He was righteousness and I was peace.
And we did like kissing each other.  =)
Today I look down a few more verses
Psa 85:11  Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Psa 85:12  Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
Psa 85:13  Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

“Righteousness shall look down from heaven” ?!?!?!?

“Righteousness shall go before him and shall set us in the way of his steps.”  ?!?!?!?

    Was he telling the future?

Vs. 12 says “the Lord shall give that which is good;”  Once again I’m going to trust that He did give that which was and is good and will continue to do so.

  • Amazing how God can speak to each of us individually from the one Bible He wrote for all of us! Imagine that God might have had you and Dan in mind when He inspired the Psalmist to pen these words.

  • I have often thought the Bible might as well warn: Do not trust your friends, do not trust your parents, do not trust yourself, but always trust God. God said “Let God be true and every man a liar”… If our friends, parents, and even our own minds spoke against one word of God they would all be found liars, yet God would be found eternally true. Amen. 🙂 Did not God say: “No good thing will He withhold” if we “walk uprightly”… Isn’t that like God saying I’ll take care of making your life as good as it could possibly be if you let me make you as good as you could possibly be.. ever more like my Son. (cf. Phil 1:6, I John 3:2; Phil 3:7-14). May we all keep trusting His goodness… like the woman who told Christ in meek confidence … let me just eat from the crumbs of food from the table knowing that Christ would not leave her hanging for His goodness. I am glad God’s goodness is not based on who I am, but on His promises. 🙂

  • Thus HIS WORD SAYS: “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” and in another place, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”
